
A naturally sweet, nutrient-dense bar made with wholesome ingredients like dates, banana, and nuts. Perfect as a snack, dessert, or quick energy boost!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Medjool dates, soaked and pitted
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup walnuts
- Optional: 1–2 tablespoons carob powder or cacao powder
Instructions:
- Prep the Ingredients:
- Soak dates in warm water for 10–15 minutes until soft. Remove pits.
- Peel the banana and set aside.
- Blend the Nuts:
- In a food processor, pulse the pecans and walnuts until coarsely ground. Keep some texture.
- Add Fruit & Optional Flavor:
- Add soaked dates and banana to the food processor.
- Optional: Add carob or cacao powder.
- Process into a thick, sticky dough.
- Spread & Dehydrate:
- Spread the mixture about ½ inch thick on a silicone dehydrator sheet.
- Dehydrate at 160°F (71°C) for 6 hours.
- Transfer to a mesh dehydrator tray and dehydrate for another 18 hours, or until dry and firm.
- Cut & Store:
- Cut into bars or squares using scissors.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Storage:
- Lasts for up to 2 months in the fridge.
